해외 한인 학생들이 만드는 뉴스, 인터넷 신문사 WISDOMAGORA입니다.
Wisdom Agora는 “지혜로운 광장”을 뜻하며, 모든 학생들에게 열려있는 공간입니다.
Wisdom Agora는 국제 학교를 다니는 한국 학생들이 작성한 글을 더 많은 사람들에게 알리고, 서로의 생각을 나누고자 만든 공간입니다.
디지털 자본주의의 성장과 세계화로 인해 전 세계 국경이 무너지고 있는 글로벌 체제에서 무엇보다 중요한 것은 우리가 직면한 사회의 문제를 알고 이를 해결하는 능력과 나와 너를 뛰어넘는 ‘우리’의 마인드로 공감하는 소통 능력이라고 생각합니다.
바쁜 학교생활과 타국이라는 한정된 공간을 넘어 잠시나마 서로의 생각을 엿보고, 우리가 당면한 문제들에 대해 논의하는 공간이 되었으면 좋겠습니다.
Wisdom Agora는 또한 해외에 거주 중인 재외국민 학생들이 대외활동이나 입시 정보 등에 접근하기 어려운 점을 보완하고자 다양한 뉴스 주제와 멘토 프로그램을 통해 학생들 간의 정보 편차를 줄이고자 합니다.
Wisdom Agora의 모든 운영은 학생들이 하고 있습니다. 이 단체의 공동창립자 역시 10년 이상 아랍에미리트에서 거주한 재외동포입니다. 스스로 재외동포 청소년으로 성장하면서 겪은 정체성의 혼란과 두 문화권을 오가며 쌓은 경험이 바로 위즈덤 아고라의 출발점이자 원동력이 되었습니다. 따라서 위즈덤 아고라는 단순한 기획 단체가 아니라, 재외동포 청소년의 실제 경험과 문제의식에서 출발한 공간입니다.
Wisdom Agora는 해외에 거주하고 있는 한국 학생들이 서로 소통하고 유익한 정보를 주고 받는 매체가 되길 희망합니다.

Welcome,
Wisdom Agora is a space for Korean studentsto share their written essays and community involvement with many people, as well as sharing independent ideas. Wisdom Agora loosely translates to “wise place”, which allows the pursuit of knowledge to flourish with all students.
Through the growth of digital capitalism, borders between countries are breaking down and in this current world, it is vital that we recognise the issues with this fast-paced development in the digital society and provide solutions which go beyond simply one individual to another, but communicating together as a whole.
Even though students often find themselves engrossed in school life, we hope that Wisdom Agora will provide a space where students can disseminate each other’s thoughts and discuss the conflicts and problems that they may face today.
Wisdom Agora will be uploading new articles and videos every Thursday.
